Job description

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
โ€ข Responsible for listening, understanding and translating spoken statements interchangeably in Spanish and English.
โ€ข Speak, relay messages, clearly, accurately and quickly
โ€ข Translate a variety of material, particularly technological and engineering documentation, from Spanish to English (and vice-versa) in various production and business settings.
โ€ข Organize translated material and finalize translation according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
โ€ข Retain and develop specialist knowledge on technical areas of translation.
โ€ข Willingness to learn and perform the job skills in production, while gaining a firm understanding of the transformer industry.
โ€ข Compile technical terms and information terms into glossaries and terminology.
โ€ข Apply cultural knowledge to produce a meaningful translation of the original message.

EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
โ€ข Minimum 2-3 years of related experiences, as a translator, interpreter or similar role.
โ€ข Must be fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken)
โ€ข Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
โ€ข Developed written and verbal communication skills.
โ€ข Experience in a manufacturing environment.
โ€ข Time management skills
โ€ข Proficient in MS Office, ability to meet deadlines, grasp new concepts, has the ability to build good relationships.
