Decision Technologies seeks a Junior Computer Engineer to join ourย  team in Austin, TX.ย  Position Description: The Junior Engineer, Computer supports technical and training teams providing training and software support to U.S. Navy Sailors on the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS), a critical weapon system supporting our nation's defense.

This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with Navy combat systems, software development, and training technologies while supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD). YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD SECURITY CLEARANCE Responsibilities and Duties: * Support software development, testing, and implementation activities for Navy training and combat system applications. * Assist in developing, modifying, and maintaining software applications and system enhancements.

* Participate in software testing, debugging, and quality assurance activities. * Support software integration and system upgrade efforts. * Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and training materials.

* Work with senior engineers to troubleshoot software and hardware issues. * Participate in code reviews and software development lifecycle activities. * Support database maintenance and data management activities.

* Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system functionality and performance requirements are met. * Travel as required to support customer sites, testing events, and training activities. Required Qualifications * Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline. * 3-5 years of experience in software development, software engineering, computer engineering, systems engineering, or related technical fields. * Experience supporting software development, testing, integration, and maintenance activities.

* Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and quality assurance practices. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a technical team.

ย  Desired Qualifications * Experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, or Python through coursework, internships, personal projects, or professional experience. * Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and web-based applications. * Experience using Linux operating systems and command-line tools.

* Familiarity with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, or IntelliJ. * Exposure to relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. * Understanding of software testing and quality assurance practices.
