Tactical Air Support Inc.Senior Tactical System Analyst (Airworthiness Publications)Oak Harbor, WA Hourly $85.00-$95.00 DOEPosition SummaryWe are seeking a full-time F/A-18 Series Subject Matter Expert (SME) to identify, define, and document technical data for weaponeering, and Naval Aviation Technical Information Publication (NATIP) products for U.S. and Australia F-18 T/M/S aircraft and associated weapons systems.The Advanced Capabilities and Effective Solutions (ACES) Division supports Tactical Air's mission by delivering world class training, products, and support directly to fleet aviators. As part of ACES, the Airworthiness team provides the latest information on F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft software features and functionality for the aircraft Mission and Weapon Systems.ResponsibilitiesDevelop content to support NATIP flight clearance publication effortsResearch software and hardware updates and apply to fleet airworthiness documentationRegularly interact with and provide guidance, support, and input to internal and external customers, including operational squadrons, weapon school personnel, test squadrons, and program officesCoordinate with Subject Matter Experts to ensure product accuracyEnsure protection of current and potential intellectual and company technologyCoordinate with editors and graphic artists for product publicationRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Science, Aeronautics, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Physics, or related scientific disciplineEight (8) years' direct experience employing U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) strike/fighter aircraft Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projectsEnthusiasm and commitment to a working environment that requires intense collaboration, robust communication, and coordination with various FA-18E/F and EA-18G operational squadrons, test squadrons, program offices, and tactical centers of excellenceComprehensive technical and functional knowledge of F-18E/F or E/A-18G weapon and mission systems or equivalent US fighter aircraftTravel (20%) to various work sites throughout the U.S. Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI EligibilityEligible for SAP/SAR programsValid State Driver LicenseMust be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background checkDesired Experience/SkillsWeapons school graduate, test pilot school graduate, former weapons school instructor, TPS, or FRS/TPU InstructorEquivalent combination of training, education, and experience in a relevant field or industry will be considered in lieu of degreeKnowledge of Aircraft Flight ManualsExperience with the U.S. Armed Forces and Department of Defense (DoD) federal contractors and the aerospace, defense, or commercial aviation industryExperience with Foreign Military personnel in a professional capacityStrong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Work AuthorizationMust be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 FormTactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace.
