Are you passionate about using data to drive insights, improve processes, and support mission-critical decision-making in federal health logistics environments?

Ripple Effect is seeking a Defense Medical Data Analyst to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Logistics (MEDLOG) Directorate. This role will focus on analyzing, organizing, and visualizing data to support operational reporting, logistics planning, and decision-making. The Data Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights while supporting ongoing data improvement and reporting efforts across MEDLOG systems.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze and interpret data to support medical logistics operations, including inventory management, supply chain performance, and financial tracking. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau and Power BI to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Data Management & Integration: Support the collection, organization, and preparation of data from multiple systems such as DML-ES, JMAR/LogiCole, BCS, and MIP. Perform data cleaning, validation, and transformation to ensure accuracy and consistency across reporting outputs.
  • Operational Support & Decision Making: Provide data-driven insights to support logistics planning and operational decision-making. Respond to ad hoc data requests and assist leadership with analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Process Improvement & Automation Support: Assist in improving and standardizing reporting processes, including transitioning manual or Excel-based workflows into more efficient data solutions. Support automation efforts and help improve the usability and performance of analytics products.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government stakeholders and internal teams to understand data needs, clarify requirements, and present findings in a clear and actionable manner for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Documentation & Data Governance Support: Maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting processes. Support data governance practices by ensuring proper data handling, consistency, and adherence to DoD and DHA standards.

Requirements

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Logistics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, analytics, reporting or related roles
  • Previous experience supporting federal agencies or military logistics

Basic Requirements

  • Experience working with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Familiarity with data cleaning, validation, and transformation techniques
  • Basic understanding of databases and data structures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working in a federal or regulated environment
  • Intermediate experience with Office 365 tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
