Job description

TITLE: Business Intelligence Developer III

DUTIES: Responsible for all stages of the business intelligence development lifecycle: understanding the business objective, collecting business requirements and translating them into data requirements, designing and developing reports or dashboards, scheduling and deployment of business intelligence components in accordance with best practices, and completing accurate and timely documentation. Collaborate with business and technology departments to understand system data and its use, data analysis and validation, and provide support around the data and how it is integrated. Monitor production systems for issues and resolve issues or escalate them for resolution when necessary. Function as business partner with service lines, departments, individuals, and coworkers. Develop advanced knowledge of system capabilities, applications, and processes to function effectively as an educator and expert for system users. Participate actively in routine meetings with department heads and/or superusers to identify, document, and prioritize their needs. Perform rounds with departments to maintain casual interface with individuals and focus on relationship-building. Role is hybrid three (3) days a week within reasonable commuting distance of the Northlake Emory location in Atlanta, GA.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

LOCATION: Emory Healthcare, Inc., Emory Northlake, 4800 Briarcliff Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30345

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Main Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Hospital and Healthcare Management, Public Health or related field of study and five (5) years of experience as a (all levels) Implementation/Informatics Analyst, Business Analyst, Public Health Informatics Fellow or related role where required experience gained.

Alternate Education and Experience: In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in stated fields and five (5) years of stated experience, employer will accept no degree and seven (7) years of experience as a (all levels) Implementation/Informatics Analyst, Business Analyst, Public Health Informatics Fellow or related role where required experience gained.

Special Skills: Also requires experience in the following:

· Five (5) years of progressive experience in clinical, business, or other healthcare operational areas;

· Epic Data Model certification successfully obtained within the first 90 days of employment;

· Monitoring and mentoring other analysts in methods and processes and implementation of those methods;

· Independently managing complex projects;

· Advanced SQL development skills;

· Data translation and Data Copywriting;

· Data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau;

· Intermediate to Advanced Excel or PowerQuery skills; and

· Data QA & Validation Processes Design.
