Job description

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Oak Park, Illinois
Facility Type: Cardiology Office / Private Practice
Employment Type: Full-Time (Part-time considered)
Schedule: Mon - Fri (8-10 hour shifts)


Key Responsibilities:
  • Explain imaging procedures and ensure patient comfort

  • Prepare and operate imaging equipment (PET, SPECT, CT)

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely

  • Position and monitor patients during scans

  • Capture high-quality diagnostic images

  • Maintain clean and compliant work environment

  • Document exams and coordinate with physicians and care team

  • Ensure patient safety during all procedures


Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred (not open to fresh graduates)

  • Licensure/Certifications:

    • IEMA State of Illinois License

    • ARRT Certification

    • CT Certification: R.T. (R)(CT) (ARRT)

    • BLS Certification


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with imaging equipment (especially PET)

  • Cardiac PET experience is a strong plus

  • Strong patient communication skills
