Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Orange, CA

Schedule: Part-Time | Shift Type: Day Position Overview Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled and committed Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a partner's team in Orange, CA. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional responsible for planning and performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under general supervision.
The successful candidate will fulfill all duties required by department quality assurance, as well as Federal, State, and JCAHO standards. This is a pivotal role that requires a thorough understanding of nuclear medicine procedures, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Qualifications Required: • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine training program. • Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or National Registered Technologist (ARRT). • Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification. • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
Preferred: • 1 year of experience working with cameras/computers of the same manufacturer as those at the hospital. • Experience with nuclear medicine procedures for infants through older adults. • Intravenous administration experience with pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Excellence • Plan, organize, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures. • Ensure all procedures are conducted in a manner that adheres to department quality assurance and industry standards.
Quality & Operational Oversight • Fulfill all duties required by Federal, State, and JCAHO standards. • Work under the general supervision of a Supervisor and the guidance of a Lead Technologist to ensure operational efficiency.
