Job description

With the freedom to shape processes, lead high-impact decisions, and directly influence the direction of Magnifica Air, this is the operational leadership role you deserve. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, have a big say in how things run, and get recognition for the impact you make.

This is a key position for us, as the ultimate decision maker and arbiter of cross departmental communication and the initial decision maker on SOC emergencies.

You’ll also play a key role in the development of one of the most unique and exciting projects in aviation today, as we bridge commercial first-class and private aviation in our new Private Class.

What you’ll do

Lead and develop the Systems Operations Center, ensuring safe and efficient airline operations. You’ll establish the personnel, processes, and systems to maintain high standards and drive continuous improvement.

During irregular events, you’ll keep senior leadership apprised and help minimize disruptions. You’ll also provide operational input for daily briefings and support decision-making with strategic analysis and suggestions.

On the performance side, you’ll develop quality assurance initiatives like fuel burn reduction and recommend changes to improve operational efficiency. You’ll also manage and train staff across SOC, Dispatch, and Performance Engineering, ensuring they’re motivated and performing at their best

Additionally, you’ll develop and manage the departmental budget, giving you control over resources and spending and determine the organizational objectives of the SOC department.

What you’ll need

  • 5-10 years of management experience in Dispatch or System Operations at a FAR 121 carrier
  • Aircraft Dispatcher certificate and 3-5 years direct 121 air carrier dispatching experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or equivalent
  • Experience managing departmental budgets and leading projects from start to finish
  • Direct leadership experience preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
