Security Operations Manager

Role Overview

The Security Operations Manager is responsible for the assignment and coordination of people and materials needed for the prompt and complete installation of business customer Security & Life Safety Systems within an assigned territory. This includes Video Surveillance, Burglar Alarm, Fire Alarm, and Access Controls jobs, along with developing associate capabilities to support successful job performance and installation requirements.

This position will be running the New York City team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign and coordinate people and materials to support prompt, complete installation of Security & Life Safety Systems jobs within the assigned territory.

  • Plan, schedule, supervise, and control installations to support customer commitments.

  • Confirm equipment procurement for installations and help ensure materials are available when needed.

  • Prepare progress reports, expense reports, and other related documents accurately and on time.

  • Evaluate system performance and effectiveness to help maintain reliability and minimize equipment malfunctions.

  • Maintain technical knowledge of current standards and new developments related to security and life safety systems.

  • Keep associates and customers informed of industry changes that may affect installation work or system expectations.

  • Develop workforce size and capability to efficiently accommodate subscriber-related workloads.

  • Build team readiness by preparing associates for successful job performance and installation requirements.

How You Will Do It
  • Take ownership of installation outcomes by planning ahead, working safely, and acting with integrity in every assignment.

  • Stay close to the work by monitoring schedules, materials, and field progress so obstacles are identified and removed quickly.

  • Use clear communication with associates, customers, and internal partners to keep work moving and expectations aligned.

  • Apply continuous improvement by reviewing system performance, surfacing issues early, and using practical problem-solving to reduce malfunctions.

  • Support strong teamwork by coordinating across functions, sharing information openly, and valuing different perspectives.

  • Keep documentation current and complete so reports, expenses, and status updates support reliable operations.

  • Stay current on industry changes and translate updates into practical guidance for the team and customers.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent 2-year electronic trade school training.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of electrical and electronic equipment installation experience.

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to manage installation work in a structured, customer-focused environment.

  • Comfort working with security and life safety systems in a territory-based operations role.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $115,000-140,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
