Operations Manager Location: Bay City, MI

Schedule: Full-Time | Mid-Day Shift | 11am to 8pm

About Clean Team Clean Team is a growing commercial cleaning and facility services company committed to delivering exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and dependable results. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily operations, drive performance, and support branch success.

Position Summary Clean Team is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our branch and ensure service excellence across all customer accounts. This leadership role is responsible for managing Area Managers, Site Managers, Support Technicians, and the Staffing Coordinator while maintaining labor budgets, customer satisfaction, staffing coverage, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of leading multiple teams, and comfortable making real-time operational decisions in a fast-paced environment. This role works closely with the General Manager to support branch growth, employee accountability, customer retention, and operational execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all daily operations within the branch
  • Supervise Area Managers, Site Managers, Support Techs, and Staffing Coordinator
  • Ensure all customer locations receive scheduled service without interruption
  • Monitor labor budgets, staffing levels, overtime, and operational costs
  • Review employee timekeeping and labor reporting in Chronotek
  • Conduct daily building inspections and customer follow-up visits
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Train, retrain, and develop operational employees and leaders
  • Coordinate staffing coverage for open shifts and emergency service needs
  • Lead daily 4 PM Manager Meetings and hold leadership staff accountable
  • Oversee Level Board accounts and ensure corrective action plans are completed
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee documentation, and HR coordination
  • Support start-up operations for new customer accounts
  • Assist with inventory management, supply deliveries, and operational logistics
  • Submit daily operational reports to the General Manager

Qualifications

  • Previous management or operations leadership experience required
  • Experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial, facility services, or service industries preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with scheduling, labor management, and employee accountability
  • Comfortable conducting inspections and customer-facing visits
  • Proficient with email, reporting systems, and workforce management software
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to support operational needs when necessary
