POSITION SUMMARY As a Network Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the real-time management of operational SATCOM networks, mitigating risks and ensuring mission success under time-sensitive conditions. Your role will involve assessing and prioritizing missions and user needs, ensuring the delivery of secure, space-enabled communications capabilities to polar users in support of national objectives. You will provide vital support for telemetry and control, mission planning, and cryptographic planning for the EPS payload. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Operate and maintain two system types with consistent accuracy. * Assist and lead troubleshooting efforts for operational systems, collaborating with customers, depot personnel, and CAPS as necessary. * Recommend procedural and training updates for EPS-R operations. * Execute mission schedules and provide high-level support to users. * Conduct cryptologic planning as a COMSEC user and, when necessary, as a COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO). * Monitor payload performance and provide status updates using established procedures to account for outages and system health. * Support the Director of Operations (DO) with contract documentation deliverables. * Develop procedures, conduct data analysis, and support both operational and non-operational equipment activities. * Participate in system engineering assessments for new program requirements. * Continuously develop within the assigned Functional Area Monitoring (FAM) structure, such as Safety, PMEL, TMDE, Security, Operations, and COMSEC. EDUCATION/TRAINING * Must hold a current IAT Level II Certificate (Security + Preferred) * Minimum: High School Diploma * Preferred: Bachelor's Degree EXPERIENCE * Three years' experience in SATCOM Operations/ Maintenance. * Experience in operations center processes. SKILLS/ABILITIES * Real-time ground systems operations experience for GEO/HEO and LEO spacecraft. * Prior military experience as a Cryptologic Technician or Electronics Technician, Digital Wideband Systems Maintainer, Command and Control Systems Operator, or Satellite Communications System Operator/ Maintainer. PHYSICAL DEMANDS * Must be able to stand and sit for prolonged periods. * Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, stretch, kneel, squat. * Must be able to perform repetitive tasks or motions for prolonged periods * Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds at a time and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time. * Must have sufficient physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina to complete various tasks. * Must be able to work in confined spaces, ascend or descend ladders, and/or traverse scaffolding. * Must be able to work in personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety glasses, fall-protection harness, protective footwear, hard hat, gloves, and hearing protection. WORK ENVIRONMENT * This is an Onsite position that requires work to be performed onsite at an Aleut location. * Working indoors in an office environment. * Working both indoors and outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and potentially austere environments. * Potentially exposed to electrical or mechanical hazards, elevated work areas, and confined spaces. * Potential exposure to electromagnetic frequency radiation (EMFR). SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS * Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license. * Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening. * Must be able to pass random drug screenings. * Must possess and be able to maintain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance. * Must be able to be cleared for base or site access. * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be available for a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
