Hurricane Capital is a pioneering multi-manager hedge fund platform dedicated to disrupting the traditional landscape of the financial industry. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, we are seeking dynamic professionals to join our team and contribute to the next wave of advancements in the hedgefundspace.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Snowflake to join our Miami office. In this role, you will support and enhance our data platform while ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with technology and business teams to develop and maintain scalable data solutions that support the firm’s operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data solutions and system architecture.
  • Optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor data integration processes and workflows.
  • Collaborate with technology teams and business stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions.
  • Implement and maintain security, access controls, and data governance best practices.
  • Monitor system health and ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Stay current with new Snowflake capabilities and recommend enhancements where appropriate.
Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience in systems engineering, data engineering, platform engineering, or a
    related technical field.
  • Deep expertise with Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, database management, and system design.
  • Experience developing and supporting enterprise data platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based environments and modern data infrastructure.
  • Understanding of data security, governance, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SnowPro Certification or similar Snowflake certification.
  • Experience in financial services, asset management, or hedge funds.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with automation, monitoring, and infrastructure best practices.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-performance environments.
  • Anticipates needs before being asked.
  • Exercises sound judgment and professionalism.
  • Enjoys solving complex business problems.
  • Communicates confidently with senior executives.
  • Is motivated to build a long-term career in finance or business leadership.
What You’ll Gain
  • Exposure to hedge fund operations and institutional investing.
  • Experience with fund launches, capital raising, and executive leadership.
  • Hands-on involvement in business strategy and technology initiatives.
  • A front-row seat to scaling an institutional investment platform.
Why Hurricane Capital

Rather than specializing in a single function, you’ll gain broad exposure across the business while working directly with senior leadership. You’ll own meaningful projects, contribute to strategic discussions, and accelerate your professional development through real-world executive experience.

Compensation

$50,000 – $200,000 – Dependent on experience and qualifications
