Purpose / General Description: This is a PTE (Part time employment) role described as an introductory level role in Commercial Product Engineering at BEM. The position has been created to fulfill the medium and long term resource planning of the BEM Commercial Product Engineering group in the creation of submittal and layout drawings, creating and maintaining BIM models, and providing excellent service as the FPOC for the Engineering group both inside and outside of the organisation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and modify submittal layouts for customer approval with high degree of accuracy
  • Support sales with interpreting drawings and be a technical resource during customer meetings
  • Create BIM files for customer integration
  • Support the R&D Team as requested
  • Manage cutsheets and templates to ensure accuracy
  • Create concept drawings for CER's or to convey design intent
  • Be prepared to attend academic on and offsite training. Offsite training will be treated as working hours with attendance and behavior standard as if in the office
  • Help develop and constantly improve our systems

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma/certificate in mechanical/electrical technology or related study.
  • Self-starter, positive attitude, maintain a high level of approachability.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and actively contribute to the success of the team
  • Good communication, organization and project documentation skills
  • Experience using CAD systems (prefereably AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault)
