Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • 5 wide range of experience and responsibilities.
  • Maintain the Operational Readiness Plan in Microsoft Project, adding tasks to the file as they are given to the intern, and updating the file when a status occurs.
  • The intern will be working on developing a wide variety of operating procedures and programs for a greenfield plant site, using examples from other sister plants within IKO. Some examples of the types document the intern could be involved in creating are listed below:
    • Standard operator work instructions.
    • Operator and Maintenance training documentation
    • Lock-Out-Tag-Out policies and procedures and other safety type initiatives.
    • Plant policies and procedures
    • Creating Preventive Maintenance documents
    • 5S inspection audits
    • Etc.
  • Interns will be given examples of these types of documents to use as guides and will also be given direction on how to complete the management system documentation.
  • Behaving continuously and consistently with the IKO Core Values; Sharing Knowledge, Integrity, Long-Term thinking, Performance, Humility, and Agility.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Qualifications:

  • Preferably a Junior or Senior in college or recent graduate with some type of technical degree.
  • The ideal candidate must have the ability to create documents and procedures and then be very organized with electric filing of these documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Critical thinking skills, and a high degree of organization are a must.
  • Must be able to stand and walk frequently.
  • Effective planning, prioritizing and time management skills.
  • Excellent team player
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
