Systems Engineer
The Opportunity:
On our team, you will use Model-Based System Engineering met hodology and tools to develop digital models and deliver complex DoDAF architecture products for DoD programs, including digital engineering approaches to establish and manage operational and functional baselines in support of follow-on acquisition allocated and product baselines processes and systems development. You'll also work on architecture deliverables for Joint Capability Integration Development System ( JCIDS ) analysis documents such as Capability Based Assessments ( CBA ) , Initial Capability Documents ( ICD ) , and Capability Documents ( CDD ) , as well as program-level acquisition documentation such as Information Support Plans ( ISPs ) .
You'll perform development of digital models and enterprise-level architecture projects to document capabilities, activities, organizational relationships, and systems. You'll perform analysis of systems to determine and document Net Ready Key Performance Para met er requirements in agreement with the JCIDS manual and Air Force directives. You'll also prepare briefings and reports on digital models, architecture met hodology, and results.
What You'll Work On:
  • Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex or highly sensitive systems, policies , and processes related to DoD systems and platforms.
  • Collect and ingest data into integrated digital models.
  • Utilize expertise with DoDAF enterprise architectures to solve complex design, integration, and analytical problems in support of organization, training, and equip functions and JCIDS.
  • Generate documents, including auto-generation from MBSE models.
  • Report changes, trends, and implications regarding design and integration of evolving systems and instrumentation.
  • Prepare briefings and reports on analysis met hodology and results.
  • Provide workstream leadership for lower-level employees.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or developing digital MBSE models
  • Experience with DoDAF 2.0 architecture documentation, including a variety of operational viewpoints ( OV ) , capability viewpoints ( CV ) , systems viewpoints ( SV ) , services viewpoints ( SvcV ) , data and information viewpoints ( DIV ) , project viewpoints ( PV ) , and standard viewpoints ( StdV )
  • Knowledge of JCIDS architecture requirements for DoD programs and program managers information support plans requirements
  • Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language ( UML ) or Systems Modeling Language ( SysML )
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and interact with clients
  • Ability to lead tasks, project teams, or large complex deliverables that involve facilitation of meetings, working groups, or written and verbal presentation of strategic or analytical findings
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional ( OCSMP ) level I or II Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Ability to use digital models, environments, and tools to deliver data-driven analysis and results
  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering preferred ; Doctorate degree in Systems Engineering a plus
  • FEAC Green or Black Belt Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
