Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively in a small team of engineers developing, maintaining and improving our products
  • Help shape the future of our technology platform
  • Infuse industry best practices into our team processes and development practices
  • Implement activation backend specific business logic, including matching, digest generation, delivery workflows optimization, etc. for very large volumes of data while focusing on cost, performance and system stability
  • Drive architectural design and implementation of our systems and interfaces
  • Foster a positive environment of integrity, empowerment, initiative, and teamwork
  • Provide operational support for our team’s production systems
  • Work with your team and managers to shape your role into a convergence of the company’s needs and your own capabilities, interests, and desires
  • Help rearchitect our existing systems to provide a more powerful and flexible data delivery pipeline at scale
  • Demonstrate operational excellence supporting our production systems
Team Responsibilities
  • Design, build and scale LiveRamp’s activation backend specific workflows and algorithms
  • Own health of LiveRamp’s deconfliction, matching, digest management and other activation data pipeline operations, and continually optimize them
  • Build global solutions that comply with all local regulations
  • Work closely with various internal teams (engineering, product, QE, DevOps, SRE) on product delivery
  • Build products that integrate to the rest of LiveRamp’s Data Collaboration Platform
  • Continuously improve the quality, stability, simplicity and performance of our applications and libraries
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience writing and deploying high-quality production code
  • Solid Java or Scala (or Golang where appropriate) programming skills
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in managing and optimizing Big Data ecosystems such as Spark, Hadoop/MR, Kafka
  • Distributed Systems Expert: Proven track record of delivering end‑to‑end large‑scale projects and contributing to the design of complex architectures
  • API Specialist: Deep experience building or consuming RESTful APIs, managing OAuth flows, and handling rate limiting / backoff strategies
  • Experience working with multiple teams to understand requirements and develop solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to build sustainable technical solutions that verifiably meet specific, well‑defined business requirements
  • Experience selecting and using industry‑standard open source and/or commercial tools and libraries to solve specific problems
  • Have made significant and meaningful development contributions to team projects involving distributed systems operating at scale
  • Experience with GCP or another cloud provider (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Solid communicator in relevant technical and product concepts
  • Proficiency with Spring Boot
  • Good to have experience in Distributed Databases (e.g. Singlestore)

Compensation

The approximate annual base compensation range is $130,000 to $196,500. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geography, as well as internal equity among our team.
