Job description

Origin Mining Company (“OMC”) is a distinguished copper mining company that owns the open-pit Mineral Park copper and molybdenum mine in Kingman, Arizona. Our mission is to extract copper and molybdenum resources in a sustainable manner while making a positive impact on the local economy by creating high-quality employment. OMC is dedicated to operating with integrity and transparency. We are currently operating a  hydromet and concentrator operation at the Mineral Park Mine and meet the growing global demand for copper.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experience and results-driven Supply Chain Manager to lead all aspects of supply chain operations at a large-scale copper mine and processing facility near Kingman, Arizona. This role is responsible for overseeing purchasing, contracting, logistics, and inventory management while leading a small team of supply chain professionals.
The ideal candidate brings deep mining industry experience, strong ERP system expertise, and well-established supplier relationships within Arizona, particularly in the Phoenix and Tucson markets.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all site supply chain functions, including strategic sourcing, procurement, contract development, vendor management, inbound logistics, warehouse operations, and inventory management.
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with operational, cost, and business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the on-site supply chain team.
  • Manage supplier and contractor relationships, with a focus on regional vendors across Phoenix, Tucson, and the western United States.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to maximize value, quality, and service.
  • Ensure the timely availability of critical materials, equipment, and services to support continuous mining and plant operations.
  • Drive inventory optimization, working capital improvements, and supply reliability.
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and finance to support site performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor supply chain KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of progressive supply chain experience
  • Proven experience managing purchasing, contracting, logistics, and inventory control within a mining environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mining supply chains, including MRO materials, capital equipment, contractor services, and regional supplier networks in Arizona (particularly Phoenix and Tucson).
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP (preferred), Ellipse, Maximo, JD Edwards, Pronto, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated success leading site-based teams, negotiating complex supply and service contracts, and driving operational improvements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on strategic execution, cost control, supplier relationships, and operational reliability.
  • Experience with major mining companies (e.g., copper, gold, or large-scale open-pit operations)
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience), and CPSM, CSCP, or similar certifications are considered assets.
