Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Amazon Connect Engineer to join our dynamic team that helps client design, architect and implement Amazon Connect solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong experience on Amazon Connect , analyzing consumer current state implementation and contribute with the team on implement Amazon Connect solutions. You will collaborate with different development teams and consumers to gather requirements for new implementation. You will also be our SME and connect with AWS for implementation queries or Use cases. This role requires to be dynamic professional with excellent communication and analytical skills. If you are looking for a new challenge, this role is for you.
This role can be performed in Lafayette LA in a hybrid model.
Required:
. Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
. experience as a systems engineer
. Experience designing, building, and maintaining Amazon Connect contact flows and routing logic
. Ability to implement dynamic and skill-based routing using AWS Lambda (Node.js or Python) and DynamoDB
. Experience integrating Amazon Lex bots, third party APIs, and enterprise systems (CRM, case management, etc.)
. Ability to manage call recording, error handling, and failover routing logic
. Experience configuring queues, routing profiles, and hours of operation
. Strong troubleshooting skills using CloudWatch and optimizing routing performance
. Ability to provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and architectural guidance
. Experience working cross functionally with cloud, security, telephony, and support teams
. Familiarity with version control and CI/CD pipelines for Lambda deployments
. Understanding of Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban) and modern engineering practices
. Knowledge of enterprise scale, highly available platform architecture
. Exposure to omnichannel contact center platforms (voice, chat, email, messaging) such as Genesys or Avaya (plus)
. Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and container-based development (plus)
. Hands on AWS experience or demonstrated commitment to building cloud expertise (training, certifications)
. Proven ability to work independently in high visibility, time sensitive situations
. Self starter with curiosity, collaboration, and a passion for continuous learning
Preferred Qualifications:
. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
. Experience with Python
