Job description

Responsibilities
Peraton requires Systems Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM. This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
  • Support technical configuration - across the ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) suite, including:
    • Discovery patterns, probes and sensors, and performance tuning at enterprise scale
    • MID Server architecture, installation, upgrading, configuration, clustering, load balancing, and advanced troubleshooting
    • Service Mapping design and deployment, including top-down, tag-based, and pattern-based mapping
  • Own CMDB health and data integrity - governing CI class modeling, identification and reconciliation rules, and CMDB health dashboards to ensure a trustworthy source of truth for downstream ITOM and ITSM processes
  • Architect and maintain integration solutions with external systems such as monitoring tools, event sources, and CMDB feeders, using REST/SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub
  • Administer and maintain ServiceNow instances across cloud, hybrid, and self-hosted / on-premises deployments - covering upgrades, patching, cloning, MID Server fleet management, and platform performance tuning
  • Establish and enforce development standards, reusable documentation, and technical best practices, and lead code reviews and internal technical design sessions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mid-level and junior developers and administrators, elevating the overall capability of the team
  • Translate technical requirements and architecture into scalable, supportable implementations, working closely with Solution Architects and engagement leads to ensure solution quality and alignment
  • Support system testing, UAT, deployment, and ongoing performance tuning, and lead root-cause analysis for complex ITOM and CMDB issues
  • Engage with stakeholders during technical workshops, solution validations, and post-go-live support

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Min 12 years with HS Diploma, 10 years AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA degree, 6 years with MS/MA, 3 years with PhD
  • A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT II
  • Experience delivering ServiceNow implementations and integrations with a strong emphasis on ITOM
  • Demonstrated experience implementing, configuring, and tuning ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management in enterprise environments
  • Proven ability to independently lead and deliver technical solutions, set technical direction, and make sound design decisions with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, particularly in documenting complex logic and technical designs for varied audiences
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within distributed teams

Desired Qualifications:
  • Must be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 451- Systems Administrator- Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26.
  • Certifications a plus: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), plus one or more ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) credentials in Discovery, Service Mapping, or Event Management. Certified Application Developer (CAD) is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, REST/SOAP integrations, IntegrationHub, and ServiceNow scripting methods
  • In-depth understanding of the ServiceNow CMDB, CSDM, discovery patterns, and infrastructure modeling
  • Experience integrating with third-party tools such as SCCM/MECM, SolarWinds, SCOM, Dynatrace, LogicMonitor, and similar monitoring platforms
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid environments, and self-hosted / on-premises ServiceNow deployments
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills with MID Servers, connectivity, and end-to-end system performance
  • Experience delivering within regulated, secure, or public-sector environments
  • Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical teams through complex delivery

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
