Parts Administrator

SUMMARY

A Parts Administrator is needed for a fast-paced work environment to provide administrative support to the parts department. This includes various administrative activities such as processing payments, invoicing, and maintaining inventory levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Department Cashier, which includes cash, check, and credit card payments.

Handling all cash schedules

Operating as a liaison between the parts and accounting departments, including resolving discrepancies between vendor invoices and warehouse records, freight charges, and similar issues

Accurately research discrepancies in the parts inventory system, including communication with parts management and warehouse managers, coordination with accounts payable personnel, and others within the company

Providing proper accounting/coding for parts and freight invoices

Maintaining accurate records of details performed

Additional responsibilities as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and motivated to provide great customer service

Requires a strong sense of urgency

Computer skills and accounting knowledge are required

Organized, dependable, and accurate

Cashier Experience

Industry experience a plus

General computer knowledge

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma and college degree preferred, 1-3 years administrative and cash handling experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Requires good verbal and written skills. Must be able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
