Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsibility for providing all necessary Systems Administrator requirements to the IT Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Responsibilities include maintaining and servicing the company's information systems, as well as managing the distribution of computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment.
  • Oversee Microsoft Windows applications and systems, ensuring proper installation and maintenance of the organization's local area network hardware and software.
  • Handles troubleshooting, router maintenance, user access control, password resets, email setup, system assessments, backups, and restores.
  • Train, schedule, and provide directions for Technicians as needed or as directed by Department Director or Systems Administrator.
  • Maintains technology policies, standards, checklists, and procedures while overseeing inventory procurement and disposal.
  • Ensures software licensing compliance, tracks software versions, maintains logs, mitigates IT risks.
  • Keeps networks, workstations, operating systems, and applications running smoothly, ensuring timely updates, patches, and circuit functionality per vendor requirements.
  • Maintain user security and email accounts for the business, gaming and tribal business networks. Provide support for switching and routing technology, disaster recovery, network and resource security.
  • Provides technical supervision of IT department staff and oversees the day-to-day activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

QUALIFICATIONS (Indicate if Qualification is Required or Preferred):

Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.

  1. Required Education: HS DIPLOMA/2YR DEGREEPreferred Education: N/A
  2. Work Experience:
    1. Five (5) years continuous experience as a Systems Administrator.
  3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    1. Must possess excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, organizational, and planning skills.
    2. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
    3. Knowledge of and experience with: Must be proficient with Microsoft operating systems, SQL Server 2005/8 and .Net programming environment.
  4. Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:
    1. Microsoft certification, CompTIA A+ certification, CompTIA Network+ certification or acquire CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications within 6 months of hire.
  5. Must be 18+ years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  6. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.
  7. Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
