Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Test Engineer to join our team in Wallops Island, VA. The position is onsite. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Perform console testing for one or more of the following sub-modes: Navy Aegis Fire Control System, Surface Warfare System or Missile System Supervisor (MSS), and Aegis Weapon System (AWS)
  • Provide support including knowledge of Combat Information Center (CIC) operations and Vertical Launch System (VLS) operating environments including fault processing
  • Provide Combat System (CS) operations support including CS elements and technical understanding of their interfaces and functional interaction
  • Provide Combat System testing, analysis, land-based and at-sea testing such as Combat System Ship's Qualification Trials (CSSQT) and/or Flight Test Mission (FTM)
  • Support software testing and test coordination and planning, requirements management, data analysis, and software evaluation reporting
Up to 20% Travel: CONUS & OCONUS Minimum Qualifications: High school or GED with 4+ years of related Aegis Combat Systems operations, including recent fleet experience
  • Aegis Weapon System (AWS) experience
  • Surface watch standing experience
  • Combat Information Center and Naval Operations and Tactics experience
  • Land-based test facilities experience
Shipboard testing and fleet events experience Preferred Qualifications: Aegis/MSS Missile System Supervisor /VLS Vertical launch System experience
  • Ballistic Missile Operations
Shipboard testing and fleet events such as CSSQT Combat System Ship's Qualification Trials and FTM Flight Test Mission Clearance Requirements: Must have a current and active DOD Secret security clearance Physical Requirements: * The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations. Work may also Include working in government tactical labs, ships and sites.
