Field Service Engineer - NETA Testing

Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Field Service Engineer - NETA Testing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer- NETA Testing, is responsible for providing technical expertise in the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power systems and equipment.

What will do you as the Field Service Engineer?

This role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience with high-voltage and industrial power systems, and the ability to work independently in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and be able to deliver high-quality service to customers while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

    Do you have the Spark? Here's what we're looking for:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in electrical power systems, field service, or related roles preferred.
    • Strong understanding of power distribution systems, high-voltage equipment, and protective relays.
    • Proficiency in using electrical test equipment such as power analyzers, relay test sets, etc.
    • Knowledge of industry standards such as IEEE, NFPA 70E, NETA, and ANSI.
    • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Willingness to travel extensively for on-site service assignments.
    • Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain necessary work permits or certifications as required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Engineer in Training (EIT)/Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or working towards certification.
    • NETA Level II or higher certification.
    • Experience with SCADA systems, PLCs, and automation controls.
    • Previous experience in a customer-facing technical support role.
