    Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

    Responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing orders, packing and shipping patient medications and supplies in accordance with Coram CVS Specialty Policies and Procedures.

    • Stock all necessary packing and shipping materials to ensure orders can be accurately packed and shipped

    • Prepare orders for shipping by selecting the most cost-effective methods for delivery while meeting the needs of the patient and temperature/packing requirements for medication quality and sustainability in accordance to Coram/CVS policies, procedures and standards.

    • Responsible for assisting in maintaining a safe, well organized, and clean work environment

    Coordinate and perform data entry of patient shipment activities in the company's operating systems for patient care, inventory management, or equipment management.

    • Coordinate shipment time and schedules with pharmacy, nursing and other internal departments

    Assists with inventory management, receiving and restocking of inventory in an organized fashion, and processing any returned equipment.

    • Accurately put away medication orders in assigned placement area to ensure accuracy in tracking inventory and filling patient orders.

    • Ensure accurate documentation performing data entry for the purpose of inventory management and equipment accountability.

    Education

    Required: Minimum of high school education or equivalent required.

    Pharmacy Tech or Tech Trainee Certification, registration or licensure must be obtained in accordance with state or federal requirements

    Prior Relevant Work Experience

    Required:

    Six months work experience in a pharmacy, distribution or warehouse work environment

    Ability to obtain a tech trainee or Pharmacy Tech certification as required by state regulations

    Six months working knowledge with computers, including knowledge of basic Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams).

    Preferred:

    Current Pharmacy technician certification, registration or licensure in accordance with the state or federal requirements

    Certification for forklift operation if applicable for equipment.

    Warehouse certification if required by State Board of Pharmacy.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to verbally and in writing, communicate effectively and respectfully with both internal and external customers

    • Basic math skills necessary to weigh, measure, calculate dosages and convert units of measure.

    • Attention to detail.

    • Excellent organizational and prioritization skill necessary to work in a fast-paced environment

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional maturity necessary to work within a team environment.

    • Ability to make decisions and resolve issues.

    • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and stand on feet all day.

    • Must be able to embrace change positively.

    • Ability and willingness to cross-train in multiple areas (e.g. filling, inventory, Rx entry, etc.).

    • Must be able to respond to inquiries from other departments, locations, or other internal customers.

    • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and instruction.

    • Basic typing skills.

    • Must have valid driver's license with acceptable driving record if making deliveries in personal or company vehicle.

    Physical Requirements:

    • This position is physically demanding requiring an individual to lift to 30-50 lbs.

    • Must be able to stand, walk and lift for continuously throughout the shift.

    Work Environment:

    • Warehouse may be licensed in some states by the State Board of Pharmacy and therefore have security/pharmacy restrictions, including requiring pharmacy technician licensure to handle prescription medications.

    • May be exposed to hazardous materials through the packing and shipping processes, which will require following proper protocols including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The typical pay range for this role is:

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
