POSITION SUMMARY

The Payroll/HRIS Manager is the primary owner and strategic leader for end-to-end payroll processing and HR systems at FCTG. This role oversees the full payroll lifecycle for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution, while also leading the administration, configuration, and continuous optimization of HRIS platforms. As the subject-matter expert and system owner, the role drives data integrity, reporting, system enhancements, and vendor management. Partnering closely with Corporate Controllers and cross-functional stakeholders, the Payroll/HRIS Manager provides strategic guidance on payroll, compensation, and HR technology to support efficient operations and informed decision-making aligned with organizational goals.

PAYROLL & HRIS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and issue resolution
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll and HRIS inquiries, providing clear and timely support
  • Act as system owner and subject-matter expert for HRIS, including administration, configuration, and user support
  • Lead system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements to meet evolving business needs
  • Serve as primary liaison with payroll vendors to resolve discrepancies and optimize system performance
  • Ensure data integrity across HR systems by establishing and maintaining governance standards and controls
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations
  • Develop and deliver HR and payroll reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making
  • Provide strategic guidance to leaders on payroll, compensation, and HR technology
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll and compensation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field — OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll, HRIS administration, and related compliance activities.
  • Demonstrated experience with maintaining HRIS platforms including data reporting/analytics (e.g., UKG, Workday, ADP, Paycom, or similar)
  • Proven experience leading or supporting an HRIS and/or payroll system implementation or major system upgrade.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing payroll, workforce, or HR data; reporting and analytics experience preferred.
