Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Technical Systems Analyst to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site position working on Network Infrastructure. Working directly with the Technical Systems Manager, you will play a key role in troubleshooting systems, maintaining network infrastructure, performing system updates, and ensuring continuous system availability.

This position is ideal for someone with a technical background who enjoys solving problems, working with networking equipment, and supporting secure operational environments. Military veterans with communications, signal, or network operations experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Technical Systems Manager to support daily operations of mission-critical systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network issues.
  • Monitor system performance and identify, document, and report technical issues.
  • Perform routine operating system updates, security patching, and preventive maintenance.
  • Configure and manage user accounts and system permissions.
  • Assist with network administration involving switches, routers, firewalls, and connected devices.
  • Perform system testing following maintenance or software updates.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and maintenance records.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal personnel to resolve technical issues.
  • Serve as backup support for the Technical Systems Manager when needed.
  • Follow cybersecurity, configuration management, and organizational security procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
  • Experience supporting technical systems, network infrastructure, or enterprise IT environments.
  • Familiarity with VxWorks (Vx) and Lynx operating systems is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of:
    • TCP/IP networking
    • Network switches
    • Routers
    • Firewalls
    • User account administration
    • Operating system patching
    • Basic Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) administration
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required credentials and training.

Preferred Qualifications

The following are preferred but not required. Training will be provided for qualified candidates.

  • WAVE certification
  • Personal Identity Verification (PIV) experience
  • Department of Homeland Security (DHS) credentials or experience
  • Experience supporting secure, government, defense, or critical infrastructure environments
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices

We strongly encourage applicants with military technical experience to apply. Relevant experience may include communications, signal operations, tactical networking, radio systems, information technology, or systems maintenance.

Candidates with experience in roles similar to the following are encouraged to apply:
