Department OverviewThe Command Center Software Deployment, Managed & Support Services and Success organization is the team that supports our public safety agencies throughout North America. We are committed to providing services for our customers who use MSI products; allowing them to focus on their mission and enabling them to respond faster. Our field teams are focused on providing services and administration of various public safety software products such as 9-1-1 Call Handling, Real-Time Crime Center, Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings.
Job Description

This pivotal role as a Motorola Solutions System Manager oversees the PremierOne Records Management System exclusively for the Phoenix Police Department (PhoenixPD), the nation's second-largest police agency and a key partner of Motorola Solutions. Located on-site with the Phoenix PD, the System Manager functions as a liaison between the Phoenix PD customer and Motorola Solutions' support division. Responsibilities include managing customer RMS systems, associated services, and interfaces; proficiency in basic network, infrastructure, and MSSQL database operations is crucial. The System Manager cultivates constructive relationships with the Phoenix PD, proactively addresses issues, and ensures adherence to operational protocols upholding the deliverable tasks within the customer's master service agreement and maintenance contract.

This is an on-site position working at the Phoenix Police Department's administration building in Phoenix Arizona.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • 1+ years of Public Safety Applications experience is required for this position.

  • Provide regular and frequent communication to requestors of assigned work orders; ensure requestor is fully advised as to the progress or delay of their work order

  • Take proactive measures to identify and improve internal efficiencies and grow knowledge of the customer processes; remain current on best practices and market trends

  • Experience working with or deploying hardware and software solutions required for this position.

  • Experience creating positive working relationships with customers and application end users

  • Able to function effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment that regularly requires the ability to multitask

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Comfortable working both alone and in a team environment

  • Ability to troubleshoot application system issues including hardware, network, and third-party components

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload with minimal oversight

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems (MCSA/MCSE skills)

  • Experience with Public Safety Applications including CAD & RMS

  • Experience with Virtualization software

  • Experience with firewalls and routers; Fortigate preferred

  • Familiarity with SQL, XML, .NET

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Motorola PremierOne RMS Experience or comparable RMS applications

  • Proficiency in NIBRS incident base reporting

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, ODBC and Ops Manager (SCOM)

  • Experienced with Network Load Balancing (NLB) and Clustering

  • Experience with hardware blades and Storage Area Networks (SAN); HP preferred.

  • Travel Requirements for this position 10%

This position is subject to working in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check.

Target Base Salary Range:$100,000 - $110,000 USD
