Role Overview
As a Systems Integration & Test Engineer, you will lead the planning and execution of integration and test activities for a major Space & Missile Defense (SMD) program. You will develop and execute test plans, solve complex hardware/software interface challenges, and ensure that integrated systems meet stringent performance, safety, and quality standards.
This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in hands-on environments, enjoy cross-disciplinary problem solving, and want to influence the success of mission-critical defense systems.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Integration & Test Execution
Perform Unit level Testing and Integration Testing
Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for subsystems and full systems.
Conduct integration of in-house developed, COTS, and GOTS components, subsystems, and systems.
Resolve hardware/software interface issues and define system I/O parameters.
System Verification & Analysis
Perform testability assessments, system evaluations, and regression testing.
Analyze test results, prepare detailed evaluation reports, and verify/validate performance compliance.
Document discrepancies and track resolution through integration cycles.
Technical Leadership
Establish functional and technical specifications and testing standards.
Coordinate testing activities across programs, labs, and partner organizations.
Support lab, ground, and flight testing for complex aerospace systems.
Work Environment
Fast-paced engineering environment with hands-on system hardware interaction
Collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external partners
Work may include laboratory, ground, and field test settings
Occasional extended hours, alternate shifts, and travel to support testing operations
