System Integration Lead

Capstone Research Corporation is headquartered in Huntsville Alabama. We are a customer-oriented engineering services company providing world class research and development support across the Department of Defense (DoD): Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Capstone Research Corporation is seeking a highly motivated System Integration Lead to provide technical leadership supporting the Department of Defense's Golden Dome for America (GDA) initiative and other next-generation Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) modernization efforts in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing system integration activities across complex engineering programs. Working closely with government customers, systems engineers, software developers, and test teams, the System Integration Lead supports the successful delivery of integrated capabilities throughout the system lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for system integration activities supporting the Golden Dome for America initiative and related Integrated Air and Missile Defense modernization efforts.
  • Lead planning and execution of major engineering initiatives, ensuring technical alignment across multiple development efforts.
  • Coordinate integration activities across multiple development efforts, ensuring interoperability between software, hardware, network, and mission systems.
  • Collaborate with government leadership to define technical priorities, integration strategies, and engineering roadmaps.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with external government organizations, industry partners, FFRDCs, and laboratories to enable collaborative engineering initiatives.
  • Coordinate technical working groups, architecture reviews, interface definition activities, and design reviews.
  • Identify technical risks, integration challenges, and program impacts while developing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Provide executive-level technical briefings and recommendations to senior government leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 5–9 years of experience supporting systems engineering, system integration, software integration, or related engineering activities.
  • Experience integrating complex hardware and software systems.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and the system development lifecycle.
  • Must be US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Knowledge of Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering concepts.
  • Ability to interpret engineering requirements and translate them into software solutions.
  • Active DoD Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
