Job description

OVERVIEW

As a Region Manager (RM) within North America Foodservice (NAF), you will lead, coach, and develop a team of eight sales professionals with a clear focus on driving growth and exceeding sales targets. In this role, you will be responsible for building and executing a regional strategy that aligns with our Zone, National, and Segment goals.

You will partner closely with your team to cultivate strong customer relationships, sell across our broad product portfolio, and deliver value-driven solutions in the marketplace. In this geography, you will manage a team that handles national distributors (Sysco, USF, PFS, and GFS) as well as management of the largest independent distributor (Labatt ) along with 7 of the Top 10 school Districts in Texas.

This established region is well-positioned for steady, sustainable growth. To maximize performance, we are seeking a leader who can effectively manage a go-to-market strategy, set clear team expectations, and navigate evolving market dynamics—ultimately positioning General Mills for continued success across all Foodservice channels.

  • Drive mid-single-digit volume growth by creating and executing a long-term strategic vision for your Region.
  • Leverage Salesforce as a tool to coach, set clear expectations, and drive accountability with all team members.
  • Continuously evaluate your Region’s strategy and execution, pivoting when necessary.
  • Actively problem-solve to unlock growth opportunities and remove barriers to team success.
  • Serve as a liaison between your field team and cross-functional/headquarters partners to secure needed resources and solutions.
  • Partner on ad hoc project work to help shape Zone and National go-to-market strategies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience with distributor and operator ownership in the Foodservice Distribution landscape
  • Strong Communication skills and ability to translate strategy into execution
  • Innovation & Strategy – Ability to innovate and activate plans to balance short-term commitments and long-term growth
  • Problem Solving & Analytics – Trend recognition, action plan development, and execution
  • Proven Influential leadership – Organizational and cross-functional influence
  • Multi-channel growth outlook and balanced approach to win across the portfolio
  • Ability to travel regularly (e.g., up to 30% of the time) within the assigned Texiana Region (South Texas & Louisiana)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Influence & negotiation skills (internal and external)
  • Track record of achieving results and taking initiative beyond the defined scope of previous roles

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $108900.00 - $163500.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. Beyond base salary, General Mills offers a competitive Total Rewards package focusing on your overall well-being.
