Description
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for key headquarter accounts and retail conditions of Crystal Farms products, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager for UNFI. This role manages Cub Foods, small to medium regional HQ accounts, and a small store territory. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work in a fast-paced environment, accelerating growth while ensuring account excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing Cub Foods, small to medium Regional HQ accounts, and an assigned store territory
  • Develop customer level plans and sales strategies to build the Crystal Farms brands within assigned accounts and territory
  • Provide business insights from syndicated data sources including Nielsen and other data sources to drive the business forward
  • Implement customer level plans and sales strategies utilizing trade tools including Blue Planner and Stay in Front
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews with customers focused on sales results, new item performance, and growth opportunities
  • Develop and build strong relationships with Crystal Farms leadership, Internal Category, Marketing, and Finance teams
  • Effectively collaborate with the Crystal Farms retail teams to drive in-store execution; expert with Stay in Front program
  • Utilize fact-based selling solutions and strong relationship skills while maintaining a hunter mentality for growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at accounts
  • Develop promotional plans and tactics; responsible for planning and managing promotional spending and calendar
  • Timely and accurate communication of retail sales reporting to internal Crystal Farms team

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of headquarter and retail sales experience
  • Experience with UNFI and Cub Foods preferred
  • Must reside in territory area - Twin Cities
  • Proficient in trade funding management, promotional planning, and execution
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to speak effectively in front of customers
  • Highly motivated, self-directed individual able to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Overnight travel up to 20%
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
