Job description

Location: Greenville, SC (Fully Onsite)
Employment Type: Full Time, Direct Placement
Compensation: $34 to $48 per hour DOE, OT paid at 1.5x
Estimated Annual: $70,000 to $100,000
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, overtime as needed

 About the role:

Staff level Civil Engineer supporting production of Site Development plans for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Team oriented, collaborative environment.

 

What you will do:

• Produce civil plan sheet sets for construction
• Observe installation, testing, and inspection of site utilities (sewer, water), proof rolls, SWPPP inspections
• Support senior engineers; resolve plan and field issues
• Perform hydraulics and pipe design calculations; draft drainage reports, watershed studies, project narratives
• Address redline comments from review agencies and senior engineers

 

Education and certifications required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• EIT required

 

What you bring:

• 3 to 8 years in civil site engineering design
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (or MicroStation) and Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of stormwater, water and sewer, site layout, and permitting (local, state, federal)
• Willingness to learn from engineering staff; strong communication and problem solving

• Experience sitting for extended periods producing detailed drawings
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines; collaborative working style

 

Tools:

• Primary: AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Also helpful: HydroCAD, WaterCAD, SEDCAD, IDEAL modeling software
