Position Summary
Working alongside other peptide technicians, the Lab Technician is responsible for synthesizing and/or analyzing and purifying peptides. This position runs instrumentation in the manufacture of peptides.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Execute lab activities related to projects.
  • Daily tracking and record keeping of current peptide tasks/projects.
  • Take responsibility to process and execute orders within agreed time windows.
  • Operation and maintenance of peptide instrumentation.
  • If applicable*: Operation and maintenance of Liquid Chromatography instrumentation
  • If applicable*: Peptide Cleavage Data analysis and characterization of peptides using HPLC and Mass Spec
  • If applicable*: Hand modifications of custom peptides
  • If applicable: Execute lab activities related to PD projects like phage selection, preparing of new libraries, ELISA and GCI testing
  • Work in accordance with the installed ISO 9001 and GMP quality system (incl. good housekeeping) - and ensures products and analytical results are accurate and reliable for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Higher professional education in related field (e.g., biology, chemistry or equivalent)
  • Excellent computer proficiency
  • Employees entering this position have a general understanding of chemistry.
  • Previous experience of working in a laboratory
  • Proven team player, with collaborative work style: Demonstrated experience of working cross-functionally.
  • Results-oriented mindset: solution-focused attitude; ability to recognize potential problems; capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on the go.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Hands-on mentality.
