What is switch security?

Switch security refers to the measures and practices used to protect network switches from unauthorized access, attacks, and misuse. It involves configuring switches to prevent threats like unauthorized device connections, MAC address spoofing, and network eavesdropping. Our mission goes beyond infrastructure. Every team member plays a role in protecting the systems that enable businesses, governments, and communities to operate. We believe in operational excellence, accountability, and a culture driven by purpose.
The Role: Critical Infrastructure Security Officer
This is not a traditional contract security position.
As a Critical Infrastructure Security Officer, you will be responsible for protecting one of the most advanced and secure data center environments in the world. You will operate in a controlled, mission-critical setting where your awareness, judgment, and professionalism directly impact safety, uptime, and customer trust.
You'll be part of a professional, in-house team focused on maintaining a secure environment for critical digital infrastructure.
This position is classified as safety-sensitive due to its responsibility for protecting people, property, and essential operations.
What You'll Do

  • Monitor and interpret surveillance and access control systems, identifying anomalies and responding appropriately
  • Control and verify access to secure areas in accordance with strict protocols and procedures
  • Respond to security and safety incidents, assess risk, and coordinate with internal teams and emergency responders
  • Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports, logs, and documentation
  • Provide secure escorts for employees, vendors, and visitors within controlled areas
  • Support site operations during emergencies, alarms, or elevated security situations
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, customers, and public safety personnel
  • Uphold all applicable laws, safety standards, and company policies

What We're Looking For
  • Calm, professional presence in a controlled, high-responsibility environment
  • Strong situational awareness and sound judgment under pressure
  • Ability to follow structured procedures while adapting to dynamic situations
  • Clear communication and accurate documentation skills
  • Personal accountability and commitment to maintaining a secure environment

Ideal Backgrounds
We strongly encourage candidates with experience in the following to apply:
  • Military (all branches; security forces, military police, infantry, or leadership roles)
  • Law enforcement (active, reserve, or retired)
  • Corrections or detention operations
  • Emergency services (fire/EMS)
  • Security in critical infrastructure, utilities, or industrial environments

What You'll Bring
Required
  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in military, law enforcement, security, or a related operational field
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (past 5 years)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
  • Basic computer skills (report writing, email, standard software tools)

Preferred
  • Experience working in controlled or high-security environments
  • Familiarity with surveillance, access control, or incident management systems
  • Leadership or operational experience in military or public safety roles

Additional Requirements (Job-Related & Conditional)
  • Ability to meet pre-employment requirements, including background check, consistent with applicable laws
  • This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana, as permitted by law
  • Must meet all legal requirements for possession/use of assigned equipment (including firearms or less-lethal tools where applicable)
  • Ability to comply with all state and federal regulations related to the role
  • Working Conditions and Essential Functions
  • On-site work across multiple facilities
  • Extended periods of standing, walking, and patrolling
  • Ability to respond quickly to alarms or incidents
