What does a swimming pool service tech do?

A Swimming Pool Service Tech is responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and repairing swimming pools and their equipment. Their duties often include testing and balancing pool water chemistry, cleaning pool surfaces and filters, inspecting and fixing pumps or heaters, and ensuring all pool systems operate safely and efficiently. They may work for residential or commercial clients and often provide regular maintenance to keep pools in optimal condition. Good communication skills and knowledge of pool systems are essential for this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a swimming pool service tech, and why are they important?
