Job description

Swig Bar - Barback (Thursday - Saturday)
Swig Bar is San Francisco's premier live entertainment venue and lounge located near Union Square in San Francisco. If you are eager to learn and looking to work in a fast-paced environment with DJs and Bands, the barback position at Swig may be right for you. We are looking for persons who have experience in a busy bar or restaurant location and those who are interested in providing an elevated hospitality experience. Our customers are a mix of locals and hotel guests who both want to relax for happy hour and turn up on the weekends. Most shifts will be between 9pm and 3am.
Responsibilities
  • Assist bartenders with daily service
  • Maintain overall bar cleanliness
  • Prepare batches and other cocktail ingredients
  • Wash and organize glassware
  • Retrieve and keep adequate levels of bar stock
  • Clean as part of opening and closing duties

Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to follow directions
  • Basic math skills or an ability to use a calculator and understand proportions
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Has or is willing to obtain a CA Food Handler's Certification and RBS training required
  • 21+ years of age or older
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
