Klaviyo operates a real-time data analytics platform coded primarily in Python that is built for massive scale. Engineers come to Klaviyo with experience in a variety of languages and from a number of disciplines.

The Advanced Reporting Team is responsible for delivering enterprise-grade, AI-powered analytics that help sophisticated brands understand their business, make confident decisions, and take action, all directly inside the Klaviyo platform. The team builds curated and customizable reporting experiences that serve all of Klaviyo's customers with complex data, multiple channels, and advanced analytical needs. The team collaborates closely with Product, Design, and cross-functional partners across Klaviyo to ensure that insights are not just observed but operationalized, connecting analytics directly to action.

As an Engineer on the Advanced Reporting Team, you can expect to be deeply involved in the technical strategy behind how we access, aggregate, and present data at scale across the Klaviyo platform. You'll own projects that contribute to driving adoption and retention of Marketing Analytics, building the reporting capabilities that are a key reason customers purchase and expand with Klaviyo. You'll work full stack, from the data access and storage layers that power enterprise-grade analytics, to the front-end experiences that make complex data intuitive and actionable. Your tech stack will include Python, TypeScript, React, AWS, and Django.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Deliver advanced reporting capabilities that drive adoption and directly contribute to growth
  • Build experiences that close the loop from insight to action, enabling customers to create segments, campaigns, and flows directly from reporting surfaces.
  • Develop product-led experiences that make the value of Marketing Analytics visible and compelling.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Design, Data Science, and partner engineering teams to shape the roadmap and technical direction of analytics at Klaviyo
  • Have ample opportunities for growth as the team expands its scope across enterprise portfolio analytics, AI-assisted exploration, and agentic integrations

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience working in a in a full stack capacity
  • Proficient in at least one modern programming language (Python or TypeScript/React are a plus)
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a software engineering discipline
  • Able to communicate well and collaborate effectively across disciplines
  • Able to work with others on a team and partner closely with product, design, and data stakeholders
  • Able to learn continuously and adapt to a high-growth environment
  • Able to stick with and solve difficult problems, particularly around data at scale
  • Excited to work at the intersection of data visualization, analytics, and AI. Building experiences that help customers understand and act on their data
  • Interested in up-market product challenges, including enterprise-grade reliability, and customization.
