About the Role

The Sustainability Associate plays a key role in maximizing the value of donated and decommissioned technology by preparing, listing, and selling refurbished IT hardware across multiple e-commerce platforms, with a strong emphasis on eBay seller operations and marketplace optimization. From identifying non-mission sustainability items to testing, photographing, researching, pricing, and creating high-quality eBay listings, this role is responsible for driving online sales while maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The position requires hands-on experience as an eBay seller, including knowledge of best listing practices, search optimization, shipping workflows, customer service, and order management. Success in this role requires a detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and enjoys blending hands-on work with digital sales operations to maximize sales performance and inventory turnover.


Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Organize and stage tested IT equipment for online listing.
  • Sort and categorize incoming sustainability inventory in the warehouse
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure items are properly labeled

Listing Preparation

  • Photograph IT hardware with attention to clarity and detail for online presentation.
  • Create compelling and accurate product listings across platforms such as eBay, and internal sales portals.
  • Enter detailed product data including specifications, condition, weights, and dimensions to support accurate shipping estimates.
  • Conduct basic product testing to verify functionality and condition. .
  • Draft listings for review and final posting.

Market Analysis

  • Research comparable products to determine competitive pricing strategies.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust listings to optimize visibility and sales.

Operational Support

  • Assist with packing and shipping sold items as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years e-Commerce/eBay Seller experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of consumer and/or enterprise-level IT hardware a plus
  • Excellent computer/internet experience
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to photograph and upload accurate photos of items while maintaining a high aesthetic quality

The final base salary offer for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s specific geographic location, relevant skills, specialized experience, and education or certifications.
