Lockheed Martin Space, Specialty Engineering, is seeking an Electrical Component Engineer, Senior Staff (Level V) to join our team. You will lead and/or assist in the performance of Electrical Component (Parts) Engineering, and development and execution of the program Electrical Electronic Electromechanical (EEE) Parts management plan. You will evaluate new technologies and work closely with survivability, designers, test and manufacturing engineers, agencies like DLA, Part Manufacturers and Test Labs. You'll use your education, experience and expertise to develop and evaluate new and innovative technology to survive in the harshest of environments and most critical strategic systems.
Summary of Key Duties:
Define and lead Electrical/ Electronic/ Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture and test
Define and lead in the strategic approach to selection, qualification, test, and failure analysis of EEE Parts
Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports
Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization
Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors
Travel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet both quality expectations and product performance requirements
Work with leadership on technical mentoring plans and development opportunities for junior engineers
Successful applicants will typically have 12+ years of related professional work experience and Bachelor's in Engineering or related technical field
