Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and oversee topographic, boundary, construction, and as-built surveys
  • Prepare and maintain site maps, plats, alignments, and geospatial data
  • Support civil, structural, and utility design with accurate survey inputs
  • Coordinate survey activities with engineering, construction, and project management teams
  • Utilize GPS, total stations, drones, and LiDAR technologies
  • Process and analyze field data using industry-standard software
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal surveying regulations
  • Assist with easements, right-of-way documentation, and permitting support
  • Maintain accurate records and survey control networks for long-term site development
  • Support future site expansion and infrastructure planning
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS/RPLS) license in Texas (or ability to obtain)
  • 5+ years of experience in land surveying and mapping, preferably on industrial or infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency with survey and GIS software (e.g., Civil 3D, Trimble, Leica, ArcGIS)
  • Strong understanding of construction staking, site grading, and utility layouts
  • Experience working on medium, large, multi-phase sites is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills
