Job Description Impact Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with 5+ years of experience to join our client's team. JOB TITLE: Professional Land Surveyor/ Land Survey Manager LOCATION: Salt Lake City, Utah This position will supervise technical staff, provide professional review of work products; help manage office and field workload, and maintain projects on schedule and budget. Additionally, this position will provide various types of survey research, computations, review of computer-aided survey drafting of topographic maps and plats, written descriptions of land for deeds, leases, and other legal documents in accordance with local, state, federal and project requirements. The PLS will review projects, perform quality assurance and quality control, and report progress through completion on each project assigned with clients and internal staff.
  • Hire, mentor, and train technical staff, including survey field crews and draftsmen.
  • Manage projects to ensure a quality product is delivered on time, on/under budget and that meets the client needs and expectations.
  • Manage survey projects and communication with clients.
  • Oversee multiple survey crews and office staff and provide technical support where needed.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate QA/QC and safety requirements.
  • Solicit new work opportunities and exhibit strong technical writing abilities.
  • Make recommendations for hiring survey staff and related personnel.
  • Responsible for mentoring junior staff.
  • Develop fees and write and review proposals.
