Kidwell is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Integrated Systems (Low Voltage) Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate across departments to develop innovative, customer-focused system designs and support the successful implementation of integrated technology solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong foundation in design engineering, excellent collaboration skills, and a passion for driving projects from concept through completion with efficiency and precision.

What You'll Do
  • Design electronic access control, video surveillance systems and communication systems for a wide array of Kidwell customers.

  • Complete preliminary designs of systems.

  • Review designs for accuracy and solve any issues found.

  • Walk various job sites to gather accurate information for designs.

  • Collaborate with sales staff and owners to provide viable solutions for both the customer and Kidwell.

  • Work with Virtual Construction Team for providing construction documents.

  • Assist project managers and job foreman to ensure the correct design is implemented for customers.

Do You Have What It Takes?
  • 4 years of experience with commercial audio-visual system installation, or design at minimum.

  • 4 years of experience with electronic access control, surveillance camera installation or design preferred.

  • 4 years of experience with commercial intercom or paging systems preferred.

  • Experience with AutoCAD or MS Visio.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, along with a positive attitude and self-motivation is required.

  • An ability to effectively communicate with various levels of leadership, both internally and externally is required.
