Responsibilities
  • The Surgical Tech handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
  • He/she understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.
  • He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Meet at least one of the following:
    • Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent.
    • Certified Surgical Tech (CST).
    • 1+ years of prior operating room experience.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Qualifications:
