Your future role at a glance

Location: Hoffman Estates, IL

Facility: Ascension Saint Alexius

Department: Surgery

Schedule: Day shift | PRN

Salary range: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Set up the operating room with necessary sterile solutions, drapes, and supplies to ensure a safe and ready environment for procedures.
  • Efficiently provide surgeons with required instruments and supplies during surgery to facilitate procedural flow.
  •  Assist in the professional preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients to ensure safety and surgical access.
  • Maintain organized instrument setups and monitor precise instrument counts throughout every procedure to uphold safety standards.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
