Agency Placement Fee: 25%
The Certified Surgical Tech is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family-centered care in the operating room. They do ortho, general surgery, podiatry, pain, urology, and endoscopy at this facility. Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. Remains constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

  • Graduate of a surgical technology program accredited through ARC/STA (Accreditation Review Committee/Education in Surgical Technology. Required.
  • BLS certificate Required.

  • Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) within one year of hire. Certification must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Two years of recent scrubbing experience in an acute-care facility Preferred .
