Pay: $18.00/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift (Mids) | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Position Type: Travel Contract
Surgical Process Technician Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required
  • Previous hospital, operating room, or surgical support experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of infection control and sterile techniques preferred
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms by organizing instruments, supplies, and specialty equipment prior to surgical procedures
  • Safely transport patients to and from operating rooms and recovery areas
  • Verify patient identity and assist clinical staff with patient positioning as directed
  • Clean and disinfect operating rooms and surgical equipment between procedures
  • Maintain sterile environments and follow all infection prevention protocols
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock surgical supplies and equipment
  • Dispose of medical waste according to hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Support surgeons, nurses, and surgical staff to ensure efficient operating room turnover
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
