Job description

Indian Creek ASC is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with a diverse skillset. The Surgical Technologist assists the surgeon and surgical team in multiple ways. The ST is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of physician preference cards, pulling cases, preparing and maintaining supplies, equipment and instruments for cases, competency in sterile technique policies and procedures, compliance with HIPAA and other assigned duties. The ST must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Competing demands require someone who is able to appropriately prioritize tasks and demonstrate attention to detail. The ST is required to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with teammates, physicians, ancillary staff, and patients. The Surgical Technologist reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager and will cross-train to other functions as needed.
Indian Creek Ambulatory Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art ASC, jointly owned by the University of Kansas Health System and physician investors. Indian Creek ASC has 7 operating rooms and 6 procedure rooms enabling us to provide patients with services in Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, GI and Pain. Indian Creek ASC is a fast-paced, high volume outpatient surgery center that provides exceptional care to surgical patients. Teammates of Indian Creek ASC are employed by KU Midwest LCC ASC. Our ASC offers a tremendous work-life balance and boasts a culture that is employee and patient focused.
Required experience/skills/education:
High school diploma or GED required, college or technical school (Preferred)
Minimum of 2 years as Surgical Technologist (Preferred)
Certification in Surgical Technology (Preferred)
