Novant Health Medical Group Heart & Vascular Institute - Cardiac Surgery is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Cardiac Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Charlotte Region team. This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside a collaborative and nationally recognized cardiothoracic surgery program dedicated to delivering advanced, patient-centered cardiovascular care.
The ideal candidate will bring prior cardiothoracic surgery experience, including experience with endoscopic and/or open vein harvesting, and a strong commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and compassionate patient care. We are seeking a hardworking, dependable APP who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is passionate about improving patient outcomes across the continuum of cardiac surgical care.
In this role, you will work closely with our cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams to provide high-quality perioperative and postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients. Responsibilities include inpatient management, surgical first assist responsibilities, vein harvesting, and coordination of care throughout the patient journey.

    Call responsibilities include one night/week and one weekend/month
  • Supporting Locations: Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. No travel required.

What We're Looking For
Education: Master's Degree Required. Graduate of an NCCPA accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required.
Experience: One to three years of experience as a Surgical Advanced Practice Provider required and one to three years of endoscopic vein harvesting experience preferred. RNFA required for NP candidates.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current PA license in appropriate state Required. NCCPA Certification and current DEA registry Required. ACLS (if infusion center or cardiac specialty) Required.
Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to work with management team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills.
