NABRICO Marine Products is seeking a safety-focused Surface Prep Technician to join our team in Ashland City, Tennessee. In this role, you will prepare steel materials and fabricated components for welding, painting, and final assembly by grinding, cleaning, and removing surface imperfections. What You'll Do
  • Prepare steel materials, assemblies, and fabricated components for welding, painting, and final production processes.
  • Operate grinders and other hand tools to remove slag, weld spatter, burrs, rust, and surface imperfections.
  • Clean and prepare metal surfaces according to production requirements and quality standards.
  • Inspect work areas and completed surfaces to ensure quality expectations are met.
  • Assist welders, fitters, and other production personnel as needed.
  • Move materials and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment required for surface preparation activities.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Previous manufacturing, construction, fabrication, grinding, or industrial experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to safely operate grinders, hand tools, and power tools.
