Day Shift Rock Truck Driver

Location: Surface Coal Mine

Shift: Day Shift (10-hour shifts Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts Saturday)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Day Shift Rock Truck Driver to operate CAT 777 and 785 haul trucks at our surface coal mine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting rock and other materials efficiently and safely within the mining site, adhering to all operational and safety protocols.

Work Schedule
  • Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break)
  • Saturday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (8-hour shift)
  • Off every other Saturday
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CAT 777 and 785 haul trucks to transport rock and materials within the mine site.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to coordinate hauling activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of loads, trips, and equipment usage as required.
  • Ensure haul trucks are operated efficiently to meet production targets.
Qualifications amp; Skills
  • Experience operating large haul trucks, preferably CAT 777 and 785 models, in a surface mining environment.
