Job description

We are seeking experienced and friendly Seasonal Breakfast Servers to join our team at two distinctive York, Maine coastal destinations-Ocean Surf and Ocean Sands-each offering a unique take on the classic York Beach experience. Ocean Surf, a York Beach classic reimagined, delivers a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere with ocean views, sun-filled poolside afternoons, and effortless downtime, while Ocean Sands offers a warm, family-friendly retreat where the simplest moments-sandy feet, beach walks, and time together-become lasting traditions. You will provide memorable experiences for our guests. In this role you will need to be quick on your feet, have a positive upbeat attitude, and enjoy talking to people. General Responsibilities:
  • Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting (use guest name whenever possible).
  • Take food and beverage orders and deliver to the kitchen.
  • Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items.
  • Answer questions regarding the menu.
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition.
  • Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to the guest's satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked items to the kitchen.
  • Collect plates and clear table as guests finish their meal.
  • Adhere to all applicable Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service and compliance with state liquor policies.
  • Clean designated areas in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Ensure sideboards are adequately stocked.
  • Set tables to standards, and ensure that all items are clean and in good repair.
  • Prepare guest checks and collect payment.
  • Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, you may required to perform a variety or duties in multiple departments during a shift

Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to solve problems
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale system
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience as a server preferred
  • Ability to work 7-day rotational schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
